Western Australia Mental Health Commission Good Outcomes Awards

Mind Screen has been nominated for the Government of Western Australia Mental Health Commission Good Outcome Awards 2012.

It as been nominated in Category Three:

The Edith Cowan University Award for the Best Prevention, Promotion and/or Early Intervention Service or Program -

The burden of illness and cost of behavioral health problems can be reduced by intervening when problems first appear. Investing in services that are available early in life, or early in the course of mental illness, will significantly reduce the impact on individuals and on our society. This category recognizes excellence and innovation in the delivery of early intervention strategies and programs, which enhance the quality of life and wellbeing of people with a mental illness.

The Awards will be announced during Mental Health Week by the Minister for Mental Health at a gala breakfast on Tuesday 9 October 2012 at the University Club, University of Western Australia.
