The Mind Screen will save you a lot of time, inconvenience and money and it is easy to do.
To do a Mind Screen, click 'Get Started' . Enter your details and select the practitioner (Family Physician or psychologist) you would like to receive your secure Mind Screen Report. After selecting your practitioner, you pay a session fee of $59.00 by debit or credit card and then your personal Mind Screen session is activated for you to do at a time convenient to you.
You can do your Mind Screen session in the comfort and privacy of your own home by answering questions about how you have been feeling, thinking and acting over the past three to four weeks. There is no typing involved and you simply answer each question by clicking on one of the response options presented. Most people finish their session in about 15-30 minutes. This compares to the six to eight 20 minute Family Physician consultations or two to three 50 minute psychologist consultations it would take to collect the same information. So the Mind Screen saves you time and money but more importantly, you get assessed far sooner enabling your practitioner to begin working with you sooner to address any issues that may have been identified.
After doing your Mind Screen session you book a visit with your practitioner to get your results. Your practitioner will review your detailed Mind Screen Report so that when you meet he or she can ask more detailed and targeted questions about important areas identified in the report rather than just collecting more basic information from you. In other words the Mind Screen helps your practitioner make clinical diagnoses based on comprehensive information far sooner than they otherwise could. It also makes your visits with your practitioner more productive and effective because they can focus their attention on your issues and begin developing a behavioral health treatment plan with you sooner. Early intervention is very important in achieving better patient outcomes in behavioral health and the Mind Screen early assessment process makes early intervention possible.
If appropriate, your practitioner will suggest you work together with them to complete a Mind Screen Mental Health Treatment Plan by selecting treatment goals and actions that can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
If your practitioner chooses to treat you rather than refer you to a behavioral health specialist, they may ask you to do further Mind Screens so they can monitor your progress and assess the effectiveness of your treatment plan. The Mind Screen's Continuous Monitoring Function graphs your progress and your practitioner can print these for you to share with your friends and family or other support.
If you are concerned about how you are feeling, thinking or acting a comprehensive Mind Screen assessment is a great way to have your practitioner work closely with you to really achieve better behavioral health outcomes.
